Revolution No. 10, 48 x 36 inches, acrylic on canvas, $1800
The tenth in the Revolution series, featuring a dog.  I have a great fondness for Mexican street dogs, who have a series of their own.  They are valiant creatures, infinite in their variety, and I'm happy to report that their fortunes have improved immensely since I started visiting Mexico in the 1970s.

Revolution No. 7 (Mariachi Soldiers), 40 x 30 inches, acrylic on canvas, $1200

I enjoy painting series of subjects I find particularly compelling.  This picture is No. 7 in the series dearest to my heart and still ongoing, it currently comprises 17 paintings going back to the early 2000s.

Igor Feroz

Igor Feroz, 8 x 8 inches, acrylic on masonite, $85  SOLD
Igor when he was tiny, looking very fierce.  I've never actually seen Igor looking fierce -- he's sweetness personified -- but the camera caught this expression and I couldn't resist making a painting of it.

Cow with Calf

Cow with Calf, 8 x 8 inches, acrylic, $85

I saw these cows on a late afternoon walk in my neighborhood.  They were returning to a small corral up the street after a day of grazing on the mountainside which overlooks Lake Chapala.
